new blog .. new everything

How cool.. this is the new Shake and Shout Blog! OMG!  Haha.  I wanted to create a blog, so I connect with you guys on further length, than just twitter, myspace, and facebook. Hope you all enjoy.

I want to address all the new changes being made to Shake and Shout Shades .. wait is it called Shake and Shout Shades or Shake and Shout or Shake and Shout Apparel!?  That is a question I get asked a lot.. so let me put the questions to rest with an answer. When I first started this company about 4 months ago, I never expected it to grow as fast as it did, and never expected all the love and support I have gotten (and I am very very thankful for).  When I started, I decided I wanted to create something different —- not another t-shirt company with a “cool message” and cool shirts.  I have been there, and done that…  Alias, Shake and Shout Shades was born.  After 3 months or so I started getting requests to print shirts and some small accessories, so I answered with the Pop Bottles NOT Gats shirt.  After that I decided to make a strategic (but small) move to change the name to Shake and Shout Apparel.   For all my JUST shade customers, don’t worry - nothing is going to change — but only get better.  I decided to use “apparel” because it encompasses a lot more than just shades as previously named.  I will have the ability to expand as I deem necessary and print shirts, bracelets, and other cool stuff.  However, shades will be 90% of what we do.  I promise.  It will never change.  So please stick around.

In the coming weeks, you will see our brand new logo and name being slowly implemented into our sites, as well as a whole host of new products.  We are super stoked to get the bracelets in as well as a new shirt design and a TON of new sunglasses styles.  The sunglasses are so much fun, and we are so happy you like them :)

Also, I have a good friend of mine Justin Barber working on a new myspace layout that will blow your socks  off — so if you are going to view it, shoes are highly recommended. The layout will display our new logo and new gear and I really hope you guys love it.  Along with the layout, I am working on a new website, new online store… like I said.. new everything.

If you didn’t know already — I did some shows with the bands Backseat Goodbye and Goot.  I wanted to give them a shout out and HUGE thanks for letting me bother them and tag a long. It was a ton of fun, fantastic learning experience and I got to meet some incredibly awesome people. Backseat Goodbye and Goot are not only SUPER TALENTED artists, but very very cool down to earth people — some of the coolest kids I have ever met.  I highly recommend checking them out if you haven’t already.  The music will blow your mind and make you smile — all at the same time. So again, thanks guys for letting me tag along.

TEEN HEAT — I will be doing some shows with my friends from Teen Heat.  They are a rock, power pop group out of the sunshine state FL, and will be touring the east coast. Make sure you come out and show some support and hang out with me!!!
